FAQ

What is Tallow? -Tallow is rendered beef fat, traditionally used for generations in cooking and skincare. When properly sourced and prepared, it becomes a clean, nutrient-rich ingredient that closely resembles the natural oils found in human skin.

Why use tallow on skin? -Tallow is rich in fat-soluble vitamins and has a fatty acid profile similar to our skin’s natural barrier. This allows it to absorb beautifully while deeply nourishing dry, sensitive skin.

Will it clog pores? -When properly rendered and used in balanced formulations, tallow is generally non-comedogenic for most skin types. As with any product, we recommend patch testing first.

Does it smell like beef? -Properly rendered, high-quality tallow has a very mild, neutral scent. Many customers are surprised by how light and clean it smells.

Is your tallow grass-fed? -Yes! we source our tallow from grass-fed, responsibly raised cattle because quality matters – especially when it goes on your skin and into your body.

Is cooking tallow healthy? -Tallow has been used for centuries as a stable, traditional cooking fat. It has a high smoke point, making it excellent for frying and roasting.

How should I store my products? -Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Because our products are made with natural ingredients, and contain no synthetic stabilizers, temperature changes can affect texture – but not quality.

Why tallow instead of plant oils? -We believe in using ingredients that are bioavailable, stable, and deeply nourishing. Tallow has a long history of traditional use and aligns with our commitment to simplicity and effectiveness.
